I also have procured a wine barrel to serve as the outer shell housing for the Bio Filter. I rolled it into the garage but the smell of the wine got to me....so I decided to take it back out. I am keen to cut the top open (if you look close there is a pencil mark just below the second rib) so to get rid of the smell as much as possible. It's very well made and it has France stamped-burnt on it. It seems a shame cutting it but that's life....
